A room that’s already listening

Clap once in an empty parking garage and the sound doesn’t just fade, it travels, bounces off concrete, comes back changed. You didn’t do much. The space did the rest. Most rooms have an answer like that waiting in them. You just never stay still long enough to hear it.

Resonance tubes

A field, not a single object

Outcomes fills a room with vertical tubes instead of one central piece, each one wired to sense presence the way a theremin does, without touching anything. Walk near one and it answers with a rhythmic sound. Walk closer and the rhythm changes. But it doesn’t react alone: it alerts the tubes around it, and they respond too, like a soloist pulling in its section, based on where you are in the space.

No one composes the result. No one conducts it. A visitor crossing the room through the installation triggers something no one could have written down in advance, because the geometry of the room decides as much as the visitor does. Individual gestures dissolve into collective behavior, a system negotiating continuously between activation and rest, between the soloist and the group, between one person and the next.

In the field

Silence is as meaningful as activation

The installation understands space as a system in continuous search for balance. When the room empties, the system doesn’t switch off, it finds it. Walls, objects, all standing elements are assimilated into it, while the people passing through are moments of interference on that balance.

Same piece, different room, different outcome

No two installations sound the same, because no two rooms share the same geometry and therefore no two installations are the same. Move the tubes to a new space and you’re not restaging the piece, you’re creating a new one.
